Looking for a Juice Companion?

It’s the peak of summer season, where temperatures are continuously rising and shadows are the only natural cooling systems. Fuelling our body with liquid is one of the most important things we tend to forget at this time of the year. As we know water is the most comment beverage to keep ourselves hydrated but who does not love the healthy juices we buy ourselves at the fancy juice bars? For those who want to save some money on the long run and also reduce the consumption on those nasty plastic cups-juicing at home is the new thing!

Kenwood provided me with their Slow Juicer called PureJuice One JMP400 WH in order to shift those juice bars directly into my kitchen.

As the words Slow Juicer already suggest it’s a slow-spinning juicer. It’s much slower than a centrifugal juicer – with which you may have grown up with. This means that the juice is pressed with only a few speeds from vegetables and fruits, allowing less oxygen into the juice preserving more vitamins and/or antioxidants.  

What are the advantages of a PureJuice One JMP400 WH juicer:  

  1. Juices any fruits and vegetables
  2. Gentle juicing
  3. All vitamins and minerals are included
  4. Juices subtle and intense in colour
  5. Quieter than centrifugal juicer because of low wattage (400 WH) 

The nutrient-rich juices also produce fresh pomace, which can be wonderfully processed. Since a lot of nutrients and fibers are still present they can be incorporated into sweet and savoury dishes giving them a healthy touch. 

Carrot-Apple-Ginger-Lemon Juice

Ingredients:

  • 10 carrots
  • 1 apple
  • ½ lemon (peeled)

Method:

Insert all ingredients into the slow juicer and enjoy!
