Plant Based Milk (Soya, Almond, Vanilla Almond & Oat)

Soy milk


Ingredients

  • 80 g yellow soybeans
  • 1 liter water
  • Method
  • Soak the soybeans in water overnight for a minimum of 12 hours.
    1. Drain the soybeans and remove the outer skins.
    2. Blend the soybeans with 750 ml water until well blended and almost smooth.
    3. Strain the blended mixture using a cheesecloth, a napkin or a strainer.
    4. Pour the mixture in a saucepan, add 250 ml water. Place the saucepan on the stove over high heat and bring to a boil. Stir and skim foam.
    5. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 20 minutes

Almond milk


 
Ingredients
80 g almonds
1 liter water
 
Method
  1. Soak the almonds in boiled water for 1 hour. Rinse and drain well.
  2. Place drained almonds into a blender along with the filtered water
  3. Blend on the highest speed for 1 minute.
  4. Place a nut milk bag over a large bowl and slowly pour the almond milk mixture into the bag. Gently squeeze the bottom of the bag to release the milk.

Vanilla almond milk


Ingredients
80 g almonds
1 liter water
2-3 dates
1 tbsp vanilla powder
Method
  1. Soak the almonds in boiled water for 1 hour. Rinse and drain well.
  2. Place drained almonds into a blender along with the filtered water
  3. Blend on the highest speed for 1 minute and add dates and vanilla powder.
  4. Place a nut milk bag over a large bowl and slowly pour the almond milk mixture into the bag. Gently squeeze the bottom of the bag to release the milk.
Oat milk

Ingredients
100 g small oats
750 ml water
Method
  1. Soak the oats in water for at least 30 minutes. We usually soak them overnight, but it’s not necessary.
  2. Drain the oats and wash them (discard the soaking water).
  3. Blend the oats with water (750 ml to 1 liter).
  4. Strain the milk using a cheesecloth, a napkin or a nut milk bag.
